The Anniversary of Nicole Bogner’s Birth

Had she lived, Nicole would have been 34 today …

Loneliness’ my friend

My self – built land

Until the end

Rain clouds, darkness, coldness – I’m satisfied

Hate and anger, fear is my guiding light

Hope for your sign, send me a light – rescue my soul, set me free

On my way to the unknown

Send me a light

You’ve got to show me the way

Hearing my plea

Don’t leave me alone

Into the unknown

Send me a light

Show me the way don’t leave me astray

Send me a light

Out of my night

Take my hate away

Let pain astray

Show me this way

Night falls, dark dreams, blackness comes over me

Endless sorrow, this is what I can see

See me bleeding, don’t go away – leave me alone, in my night

On my way to the unknown

Send me a light

You’ve got to show me the way

Hearing my plea

Don’t leave me alone

Into the unknown

Send me a light

Show me the way don’t leave me astray

Send me a light

Out of my night

Curse the darkness, for I can free my soul

Freedom calls me, I won’t be left alone

Dreaming your dreams, could be reality

You are my dream, see what I’ve seen and come with me, into light

On my way to the unknown

Send me a light

You’ve got to show me the way

Hearing my plea

Don’t leave me alone

Into the unknown

Send me a light

Show me the way don’t leave me astray

Send me a light

Out of my night

Mermaid’s Wintertale By Visions of Atlantis With Nicole Bogner On Vocals

The world outside is buried in snow so I thought of posting a beautiful winter song by Visions of Atlantis with Nicole Bogner on vocals.

In nights when the moon shines, she is full of unrest
Because her heart often cries for some gentle caress
When dawn rises up and she takes the first breath
Of the new day, she knows that not much she had left
Anywhere else would be more joy to find
Than here in this place where her memories unwind
Of summer that is gone such a long time ago
Delusions confessed under cold winter snow

I do believe that my life is not mine
I am weak and I fear that it will take sometime
To find somewhere to be where my heart can be free
For a moment of light surely waits there for me

Beyond the endless hallway to the soul
in the most scaring depth of this nightmare’s black hole
gazing at freedom in white, fragile hands,
she takes a first look at the first time she’ll dance

His divine embrace will enchant this occasion,
his kiss will bring her to her knees if she dares,
to open the gates to her most inner self,
she will get more than ever she dreamt

Without a trace of a sound I will leave
and find love in the arms of the man of my dreams
A sailor, a fisher, a child of the sea
Doesn’t matter, as long he’s gentle to me

“Would anybody ever care for me,
For a girl that lives beneath the sea?
Would anybody ever hold my hand
For a moment for a while?”

Visions Of Atlantis ‘Lost’ With Nicole Bogner On Vocals

I have added two more pages (hopefully the last ones!) to Metal Graveyard today, the ones with the bios of Nicole Bogner from Visions of Atlantis and Aleah Stanbridge from Trees of Eternity, and I thought that these two amazing and talented ladies may sing for us during the weekend. Today it is Nicole’s turn and tomorrow Aleah will take the place of honour.
