‘Red Water (Christmas Mourning)’ by Type O’Negative

Since it is the Christmas and New Year time I am posting Type O’Negative today. For some reason this band has the songs that are appropriate for almost every holiday of the year, and I guess it only confirms how vast was the musical vision of Peter Steele.

Red Water (Christmas Mourning)

Wake up, it’s Christmas mourn,
Those loved have long since gone.

The stocking are hung but who cares?
preserved for those no longer there.

six feet beneath me sleep.

Black lights hang from the tree,
accents of dead holly.

Whoa mistletoe
(It’s growing cold)
I’m seeing ghost,
(I’m drinking old)
Red water
Red water
(Red water)
Red water chase them away.

My tables been set for but seven,
just last year I dined with eleven.

goddamn ye
merry gentlemen

Whoa mistletoe
(It’s growing cold)
I’m seeing ghosts
(I’m drinking old)
Red water
Red water
(Red water)
Red water chase them away.

(Chase them away)
(Don’t chase them away)

Visions Of Atlantis ‘Lost’ With Nicole Bogner On Vocals

I have added two more pages (hopefully the last ones!) to Metal Graveyard today, the ones with the bios of Nicole Bogner from Visions of Atlantis and Aleah Stanbridge from Trees of Eternity, and I thought that these two amazing and talented ladies may sing for us during the weekend. Today it is Nicole’s turn and tomorrow Aleah will take the place of honour.

Type O’ Negative At Dynamo Open Air 1995

Here is a fragment of Type O’ Negative’s legendary performance at Dynamo 1995, including Christian Woman and Black No 1. The coverage of this show was presented in MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball (by the one and only Vanessa Warwick) and I was patiently waiting to see TON until the very end of the programme, at around 1.00 am but it was totally worth waiting for! I recorded it on VHS and still have this tape somewhere 😀
